I'm Jenna — a Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland Wedding Photographer with over sixteen years of experience and more than 350 weddings photographed across the DMV and beyond. I'm obsessed with true-to-life color, the quiet moments between the big ones, and the way a single photograph can make you feel everything all over again.

My style is clean, bright, and light-filled — but always anchored in what's real. I'm not interested in manufactured perfection. I want the way your grandmother squeezed your hand, the laugh you didn't know anyone caught, the look between you two that needed no words.

My Background

Before I was a photographer, I was a U.S. Army Veteran. That experience shaped something in me that still shows up in how I work — the discipline to prepare for every scenario, the calm to execute under pressure, and the conviction that the people in front of me deserve my absolute best. Paired with an MBA and sixteen years building this business, I bring a level of professionalism to your wedding day that goes far beyond showing up with a camera.

I'm a member of the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP), a recipient of the Fearless Photographers Award, and a Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame honoree. I've photographed at dozens of venues across Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia — from intimate Georgetown ceremonies to grand estate weddings in the Shenandoah Valley — as well as weddings in Hawaii and destination sessions spanning Italy, Ireland, France, and South Korea.

My Why

When I was getting married I didn't realize just how important my wedding photography choice was in the moment. It wasn't really until a decade after, when I found myself sharing my wedding album with my children that I realized these photos were in fact a legacy to be passed on to future generations. One of the only remaining things after your wedding day, aside from your memories, which fades over time, will be your wedding photos. These are timeless, precious moments that only increase in value as time goes on. That's why I really do consider wedding photography an important investment in your future.

My goal is to create a timeless, romantic album full of genuine, heartfelt moments from your wedding day. I focus on capturing both the big highlights and the small, emotional details—how you looked and how you felt—so you can relive them for years to come.

How would you describe your photography style?

Vibrant, true-to-life, and deeply candid. I'm drawn to rich, genuine color and real emotion — the kind of images that look exactly like your day felt, not a filtered or stylized version of it. My work blends documentary storytelling with editorial polish, so your gallery feels both timeless and unmistakably yours.

What makes you different from other DC wedding photographers?

Sixteen years, 350+ weddings, and a background as a U.S. Army Veteran means I show up to every wedding prepared for anything, calm under pressure, and completely focused on you. I'm also an ISPWP member, Fearless Award recipient, and Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame honoree — but honestly, what I'm most proud of is the couples who come back to tell me they still cry when they open their gallery years later.

How many weddings do you take per year?

I intentionally limit my calendar to around 30 weddings per year. That's a deliberate choice — it means every couple gets my full attention, energy, and care, not a photographer who's already exhausted from the wedding before yours.

How do I know if we're the right fit?

Do you work with a second photographer?

Full day wedding collections include a second photographer — it's built into every main package so nothing gets missed. For elopements and micro weddings, a second shooter is available as an add-on if you'd like the additional coverage.

What's it like working with you on the wedding day?

Calm, quiet, and honestly kind of fun. I move through your day without disrupting the flow of it — most guests won't even notice me working. When we do step away for portraits, I'm less about posing and more about getting you moving and laughing until the camera disappears from your mind entirely. My goal is that at the end of the night, you forgot I was even there — and then your gallery arrives and reminds you of everything.
