I'm Jenna Leigh — based in New Market, Maryland, which means I'm genuinely local to this state in a way most photographers aren't. In more than 16 years of wedding photography, I've worked across Maryland from the Blue Ridge foothills of Frederick County to Chesapeake Bay waterfront estates to historic manor houses in the Piedmont.

That geographic depth shows up in ways couples don't always expect: I already know how Herrington on the Bay's eastern light shifts across the ceremony lawn, and how Woodend Sanctuary's woodland canopy behaves at golden hour in every season.

My style is vibrant and true-to-life — clean, bright images that look exactly like your wedding day felt, not filtered or faded into a trend that won't age well.

Beyond the bay

A secluded waterfront manor on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, with a private pier, rolling farmland, and an intimate scale that makes it feel like a world unto itself — remarkable for a venue less than an hour from DC.

Beyond the bay

Antrim 1844 Wedding

A meticulously restored 1844 plantation manor in the rolling hills of Carroll County, with formal terraced gardens, original hardwood interiors, and a vintage ballroom that photographs with effortless historic grandeur.

Beyond the bay

Gaylord Resort Wedding

A dramatic glass-atrium resort at National Harbor where soaring indoor architecture and cascading light create a grandeur unlike any other Maryland venue. The Potomac River views, sweeping ballroom spaces, and bold architectural lines give every portrait a cinematic quality that's genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else in the DMV.

FAQ

Q: You're based in New Market — how familiar are you with venues across the rest of Maryland?

A: Very. I've photographed weddings from Frederick County to the Eastern Shore to the DC suburbs, and I research every venue I haven't shot before as thoroughly as the ones I have. Being based in Maryland means I'm not driving in from DC or NoVA and hoping for the best — I already know this state's light, its seasons, and its venues in a way that shows up on your wedding day.

Q: What does it actually mean that your style is "vibrant and true-to-life"?

A: It means your photos will look like your wedding day actually looked — not darker and moodier than it was, not washed out and faded, not edited into a trend that feels dated in five years. Rich natural color, clean bright images, and a style that holds up because it's honest rather than fashionable.

Q: How far in advance do Maryland couples typically book you?

A: Most book 12 to 18 months out, especially for Chesapeake Bay venues and fall harvest dates. That said, if your date is under a year away it's always worth reaching out — I do occasionally have openings for closer dates, and a quick conversation costs nothing.

Q: Do you work with a second shooter?

A: It depends on the package. Some couples want a single photographer for a more intimate feel; others want full dual coverage so nothing gets missed. I build packages around your specific day, so if a second shooter makes sense for your venue and timeline we'll make that part of the plan.

Q: Can we do our engagement session at our wedding venue?

A: Yes — and I'd genuinely encourage it for Maryland venues specifically. Shooting at Herrington, Woodend, or wherever you're getting married beforehand means we walk the property together, identify the best light at the right time of day, and arrive on your wedding day already knowing exactly where we're going. It's a practical advantage that shows up in the final gallery.

Q: What happens after we book?

A: We stay in close contact through your entire planning process — timeline reviews, venue questions, engagement session scheduling if that's part of your package. On your wedding day I handle everything so you never have to think about photos. Galleries are delivered within eight to twelve weeks.
